Benefits of Fasting

Fasting is one of the most natural, powerful therapies known to humankind and is used to Detox the body. Periods of abstinence from solid food, a ritual since ancient times, allow the body to “cleanse and purify,” to remove multitudes of toxins, excess weight, parasites, and the like caused by years of fast food, cigarettes, prescription drugs and alcohol. Add to that work-related stress, indigestion, illnesses, constipation and sedentary lifestyles, and you have a recipe for an unhealthy colon. Furthermore, the cells, tissues, organs of your body are given a well-deserved and much needed chance to slow down, rest, and heal.

With the addition of colon cleansing & colonics (a cleansing regime whereby the colon is flushed out with natural solutions, in itself a potent detoxification tool), our Detox programmes offer a transformative, therapeutic process moving you towards much greater states of health and well-being. Fasting & Detox Programs

7 Day Complete Cleanse:

This is a full 7 days of detox and fasting including 1 colonic therapy per day. Obviously this is the maximum benefit cleanse. Extra days can be added.

5 Day Cleanse:

5 days for fasting and detox with 1 colonic therapy per day.

Mini Fast:

This 3 ½ days fast and detox program is for those in a hurry or wishing to take a step further into health and detox – 1 colonic therapy per day.

Quick Detox:

This 1 day program is an ideal introduction to fasting and offers a day of health to detox & purifying and treating acute illness – includes 1 colonic therapy.

Gentle Cleanse:

This 1 to 7 day program is a soft detox and gentle fast. There are daily healthy meals & supplements and no colonics.

Fruit Fast:

Want to improve your health but don’t feel ready for a full on colonic program … yet? This 4 day program involves a fruit diet with herbal supplements and activities to enliven you.

Candida Cleanse:

The Wellness & Detox Center has created specially designed rooms for Detox and Colonics. There are 4 types of rooms, Thai style with fan, Villa air-con rooms and Deluxe air-con rooms, and funky fasters dorm with 6 beds and air-c and now our super deluxe rooms with a king size bed and a single bed – very spacious & comfortable .

Breaking your fast

We advise spending as long breaking your fast as you spent fasting. Therefore, you might want to base your travel plans around this. The sanctuary restaurant provides a special cleansing menu, providing foods designed for ending a fast. All post-fasters are still welcome to use the Wellness Centre facilities and to get advice from the nutritional advisors.

If at all possible we recommend that you spend a few days on the beach – enjoying our healthy menu before you recommence your travels. If you must leave soon after, please incorporate health food into your plans.

For example:

Fruit on train/bus journeys.
Order the “fruit plate” on aeroplanes (must be ordered in advance).
Stay in health-conscious resorts.
Buy your own brown rice and ask resorts to cook it for you
We sell take-away packs of Psyllium and a probiotic that doesn’t require refrigeration.
Yoga classes are available daily / Yoga Thailand & Spa Thailand services available.

Like the Spa Ko Samui we recommend you come 2 days before if possible to best prepare for your detox.

What Is Candida
