The Sanctuary Resort, Spa & Wellness Center Is located on a remote tropical beach on Koh Phangan, a sister island to Koh Samui. This alternative island resort has developed a reputation over the years for offering a personal service to its guests, that special touch that has guests returning year after year.

The Sanctuary is now pleased to offer you a very special and alternative location for your Thailand marriage and promise to make it truly a day to remember. Whether your wedding is religious or secular, gay or straight,legal or symbolic, we can facilitate and will ensure that its that magical day you have been dreaming of. We will handle all your local needs including logistics, a service of your choice, photography and more. We can even organize live music on the beach or an international DJ in a local dance venue or you can simply bring along and enjoy your favorite music.

Your marriage service is special and we are pleased to offer a selection of services for you to exchange your vows.

Traditional Buddhist Ceremony

This is a special occasion where you will be married in front of 9 Buddhist monks. The monks will attend the ceremony and offer prayers and chants to bless the occasion while the abbot ties sacred white string around the couples’ wrists and sprinkles holy water over their heads with a leafy branch. All other guests are encouraged to also tie string around the couples wrists as a symbol of binding and unity.

After the ceremony gifts are given to the monks and abbot. They can stay for photo shoot before returning to their Wat (temple) on the other side of the island. This ceremony must take place in the morning time as the monks are forbidden to eat after midday. Obviously The Sanctuary will organize all the needs of the monks.

Non-religious services

A non religious  service can also be catered for, you provide the vows and we can provide the perfect ‘vicar’ who can add that touch of magic to this non religious occasion. If you have another non religious service you would like to perform please ask and we will endeavor to cater to your needs.

Gay Weddings

We acknowledge that all weddings have their unique needs and we love making these   dreams a reality. With Gay weddings we have / can organise special make up artists , entertainment,  a sprinkling of magic and make the occasion a very special and  unique event.

It would be our pleasure to make this special day for you.

Location, Location, Location

We offer a tropical choice of locations for your special day, whether its in one of our stunning houses with the bay as a backdrop, on the beach in the shade of the coconut trees or even on a boat or floating restaurant at sea at sunrise. We have the variety of locations to suite your needs.

We can cater for groups of 2 to 40 people offering a vegetarian and /or seafood feast worthy of the occasion to suite all desires and costs. We have a full bar and can offer Champagne, Classic wine list, tropical fruit punch & cocktails.

Your guests can stay in one of our stunning unique houses or select from the range of Sanctuary style bungalows. For the Bride and Groom the Honeymoon house is already named and awaiting your pleasure.
