School of Life 2012
The School of Life is a series of exciting workshops and classes held during the first three months of each year. These workshops are designed for everyone to learn, laugh and live life to the full! Our facilitators are from around the world and teach at a very high level. Each workshop that we bring in is chosen by our team of co-ordinators, including many who have been a huge success here in the past. We are excited to confirm the first workshops of 2012 School of Life below, with the remaining schedule to be announced shortly.

All workshops are 8000 baht per person for a five-day intensive, unless stated otherwise. Pre-booking these workshops will bring a discounted rate of 7500 baht.

This event is held just prior to New Years Eve, and has the intent to create space for connection, intimacy and ecstasy. Learn
archaic techniques of natural ecstasy, including trance dance, shaking and breath-work. Make connections and explore intimacy. In the evenings, enjoying the “Bliss Lounge” space in the Tea Temple. A week of workshops around the theme of manifestation and magic in your life. Jump into the new year with our series of workshops, guided by the Life Team. “Clearing a Path to Manifestation”, “Finding your Life Purpose”, “Manifestation and Time Lines”, “Opening to Creativity”, “Sigill Making” incorporating tools such as life coaching, NLP, inner child work, Taoist energy healing and other processes. This week will be set up as a series of drop-in classes, or you can join for the whole series.
*** Journey Into Tantra – Thailand Tantra Festival ***
January 9th – 13th, 2012
This week long festival will explore many facets of Sacred Sexuality and Conscious relating. Teachers from different traditions and creations, to bring you a full-spectrum experience of the world of Tantra! Opening ceremony 8th January. The festival will include classes, workshops, meditations, rituals and evening events. Explore Tantra as you soak up the sun, eat vibrant health food and swim in warm seas. A host of world-renowned teachers will guide you. Including:

Thai Yoga Massage is a spiritual practice that incorporates the Buddhist principles of mindfulness (Vipassana) and loving kindness (Metta).
Powerful yogic stretches are applied carefully along with a slow deep acupressure technique. This ancient massage works both the gross muscular level of the recipient, as well as the subtle energy level of the body. The recipient experiences this as a relaxed supported body work that creates a profound sense of space and relaxation in the entire being.
This workshop is tailored for all levels of practitioners. Focused on exploring body, breath and movement in order to create a sustainable, powerful and effective healing practice – a moving meditation. Two-day introduction workshops will be held on January 14th – 15th and February 6th – 7th.

A variety of Tantra methods using Breath, Dance, Emotional Release, Sharing, Massage, Guided Journeys and Meditation will support each participant in their individual process. In this group, there will also be separate men’s and women’s time, to discover the source of strength with our own gender, and then find the possibility of meeting each other with new openness.
Santoshi and Niten are creating a sensitive and caring environment for discovering, healing, understanding and celebrating our whole being in its many facets. This brings powerful transformation to sensual expression and the way we relate to others and ourselves.

We want to put our own selves into the work.
We want to create a movement of introspection and self inquiry where the viewer becomes the subject of the piece
It’s about you.
If we dare to show ourselves in all our raw glory, really express what’s going on in the chaos and the shadows then we have a chance to connect to something real in our audience.
Because when I talk about me, you’ll hear about you.
We turn up to work every day pretending we’re not neurotic and obsessed and insatiable and full of doubt. And we waste so much energy keeping up this mutual pretence for each other because we think if people saw the truth, if people really knew what was going on in our heads, all the crazy truth of our dark appetites and self loathing, then we’d get rejected.
But in fact, the opposite is true. It’s when we dare to reveal the truth that we unwittingly give everyone else permission to do the same. To be here, present, vulnerable and authentic.
We’re on a mission to make self-reflection hip for just a moment, just long enough to save us.

March 19th – April 9th, 2012
This training will be a journey for women, introducing many of the Taoist Sexual Arts, along with dance, music and creativity.
The first week focuses on cleansing and healing… we look into conditioning and beliefs and what effect they have on our behaviour and sexuality. We will learn tools for clearing those that no longer serve us.
Week two is about cultivating sexual energy. Learning about what this means and how to do it! Techniques from the mulitorgasmic practices… and discovering how orgasmic energy is not just about pleasure, but about creating vitality and a smooth flow of life-force energy, as well as creating space for divine experiences.
The final week is about sharing our gifts. Sexual energy is very creative! So, we will look at how our own practice is linked to what we put out in the world. Minke and Shashi intend to empower each woman to share her unique gifts. We will help each woman find her way of sharing these gifts: directly (as in teaching or giving sessions) or indirectly (channeling the sexual energy into an unrelated business or creative output). This week is about manifestation.

A Note on Accommodation
Unless otherwise stated, workshop fees do not include accommodation costs. To ensure peace of mind about accommodation during our busy high season, we offer the possibility to reserve a dormitory bed or private room during the week of your workshop. This must be paid for in full in advance for five days’ stay and can only be booked after the deposit has been paid to enroll on a workshop. This is non-refundable. This service is not available during our peak times over Christmas and New Year.
Our Zorba group accommodation includes a 14 bed dormitory and 4 private rooms. If you would like to book a place in the Zorba accommodation, please notify us when you register for a workshop.
