The Sanctuary Resort in Thailand is the perfect place to host a retreat, a workshop, or a yoga teacher training course.

Our halls are suitable for a wide range of transformational and personal growth retreats.  Examples of the types of groups that we have hosted include Yoga teacher training and Yoga retreats, massage / bodywork / healing training courses, Tantra, meditation, Ecstatic Dance / Biodanza and Qi Gong.

Availability

From mid-December to the end of March, The Sanctuary has a very busy high season!  During this time our accommodation is at full capacity and we offer our School of Life classes and workshops to all of our guests.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer our spaces to private retreats during this period.

Hall Spaces

We are delighted to have 2 beautiful halls for rent, designed in harmony with the jungle surroundings. Halls and their bathrooms are cleaned on a daily basis, according to your schedule.

Prana Hall

This gorgeous, secluded space is topped with a pyramid, astrologically aligned to the Great Pyramid of Giza, Egypt.  Together with the soothing sound of a gentle waterfall running underneath, the Prana Hall has been called magical, vibrant and powerful.  This hall is suitable for most activities and can accommodate groups of up to 30 people for dancing or sitting or up to 25 people for yoga and similar activities.

Zen Hall

Nestled amongst the tree tops overlooking the ocean, Zen Hall gives one the feeling of being on top of the world!  This secluded space lives up to its name and is ideal for smaller groups of up to 16 people. Includes:

• 7.5 x 8.5 square metre area with a tiled floor
• 1 private bathroom
• Fully mosquito screened
• Water filter and tea making facilities
• Yoga mats
• Large mattresses (Suitable for massage / bodywork)
• Cushions
• Altar
• Whiteboard
• Sound system with mini jack input
• Projector and screen available for rent

Hall Rates

Halls are unavailable between 15th December and 15th March due to the ‘School of Life’ program.  

High season is from 15th March to 20th April, 15th July to 15th September and 1st to 15th December.  All other times are low season.  All prices are in Thai baht.

Accommodation

Group Accommodation

We are pleased to be able to offer a wonderful group accommodation space for private retreats, the Zorba Dwellings. Set in our gardens and on 3 levels, it has a 14 bedded dorm room on the top floor, each with a lockable privacy box and shelf space. There are 4 private rooms (1 with en-suite) on the main level and another private room with 2 king-size beds underneath.  Based on double occupancy in the private rooms, the complex can accommodate 24 people.

This is our best value accommodation, available for rent at a special group rate of 6,000 baht per night (reduced from 7,500 baht). Discounts are available during quieter periods.

Individual Accommodation

Aside from the Zorba Dwellings, we have a very wide range of accommodation available, which are specially discounted for incoming group participants.  Please contact us directly for more details.

Food Options – A delicious Vegetarian, Raw and Seafood menu

There will be a complimentary group dinner on your arrival night to welcome you and your group to The Sanctuary.

We can offer a range of set meals for your group:

• A light lunch, which might include, for example, wholemeal sandwiches or salads, soup of the day, a cake or cookie of the day, and herbal tea. This costs 200 Bt per head.
• A budget Thai Style lunch or dinner, at 250 B per head
• A luxury lunch or dinner, including seafood, at 400 B per head

Here, the group eats together and their food is brought to their special table in our restaurant.

Please note that we do not offer a set breakfast.

These shared meals are arranged in advance and can be prepared to be ready at the end of a morning or evening session. This prevents any extra waiting time and allows everybody to get back to class quicker or simply enjoy more free time between sessions.

Our kitchen only needs a few hours warning to prepare a set meal – so its also possible to decide while you are here whether your goup would like to eat together from a set menu on any particular day.

At other times, guests and students may choose individually from our extensive menu of Thai and western food.

Tea Temple Private Events

The Tea Temple is available for private groups in the evenings for a cover charge of 50 baht per person, minimum 10 people. Some ideas for private events at the Tea Temple include:

• We offer a free orientation talk for all groups, led by a member of our staff who will introduce group members to the Sanctuary and provide useful information.  This is perfect to coincide with an introduction dinner.
• Screen a movie/video to your group with our projector:  provide your own video or choose from our collection.
• Private group dinner – organise a set meal from the Sanctuary restaurant and we can deliver the food to the Tea Temple. This could be combined with a movie screening following the meal.
• Host a fun social evening for the group… past examples include an Indian Night of dance and music, Games Night, Tea and Tarot or ‘Love Lounge’
