Detox & Wellness Center Location

The Detox & Wellness Centre is located next door to the Sanctuary Resort on Ko Phangan and has been designed with your comfort in mind and is available for your use from 8am in the morning to 9pm at night every day. The large, light and airy space is situated just back from the sea on the edge of the beach and offers the perfect setting in which to relax, read, and exchange ideas/stories with other folk Detoxing. All are welcome, but we have decided to make the Detox / Wellness Centre a non-eating area. Most cleansers feel very good not eating and don't find temptation a problem, we simply offer neutral territory.

Many drinks are available and most are termed 'allowable support', full of natural goodies to enhance your cleanse. Other nutritive treats that we offer are best enjoyed in your pre-cleanse or post-cleanse periods. Our friendly and attentive staff can help you to make appropriate choices during all the stages of your Detox cleanse. The Sanctuary Resort & Spa offers a carefully planned 'Cleansing Menu' for your enjoyment as you enter and exit the cleanses. Detox Centre staff are happy to guide you through the delights it contains!

The open air environment of the Detox/ Wellness Centre is extremely comfortable, with all moods and activities catered to : Hammocks for total relaxation and support, traditional Thai-style cushions for lounging and chatting, tables and chairs for reading and writing. Yoga classes are available 2 times daily

Our library cupboard is full of interesting books, we have some great resource material available for those who wish to deepen their knowledge of Detox, cleansing and nutrition, Yoga or related healing subjects. For those wanting "easy reading" don't worry: Our fiction shelves are growing and next door at the Sanctuary Resort the library is packed with all kinds of books from pulp fiction, romance, thrillers to religion and meditation & Yoga... the choice is limitless.

We also offer video and DVD facilities for viewing suitable material in the evenings. Suitable in this case means something everyone cleansing at the time can enjoy. We often play CDs at the centre too, and this music can be heard in the Wellness Centre's colonic rooms - so if you think you'll have any special requests to conduct your colonics to, pack them in your luggage! Walkman's are also a great idea if you think your taste is more personal.

We have Meditation and Yoga. See our events page for up to date information. All of these pursuits help you to experience and enhance your stay. When you check in for your cleanse you will be told what's happening at that time and what sessions are available around the Sanctuary. With these services and all the delights of The Spa your day will fill with interests far beyond food.

These activities take place in an idyllic setting. The Sanctuary Detox & Wellness Centre is next door to the Sanctuary Resort, set on the edge of a beautiful beach surrounded by exotic unspoiled jungle rainforest. We are accessible by boat only, so be prepared to adjust to the unusual experience of the absence of traffic... Other beaches are in walking distance... The sunrise is spectacular every day and can be seen from many a bungalow and from the Centre itself... Watching a full moon rise up from the ocean is an unforgettable moment in time.
