The Tao of Tea

Drinking tea is all about taking time out to just be with the moment…and drink a cup of
tea. At the Tea Temple we have a range of fine teas, including oolong tea, green tea, masala
chai tea and herbal teas. We have teas from Japan, from China and also from Thailand itself.
Each tea has been selected for quality and flavour and all are loose-leaf teas or whole-
flower tissanes.

Health Qualities: Real oolong teas and green teas contain high levels of anti-oxidants,
which help the body to fight off disease. In addition, they lift energy to help move
stagnant Qi…clearing toxins and heaviness. In many cultures these teas are drank for
weightloss because they move toxins and improve circulation.

The Qi of Tea: drinking some caffeinated drinks can raise your energy so fast that one
becomes jittery and scattered. These are signs that one has lost one’s grounding. The Qi of
tea is that the energy rises gradually enough that one does not become ungrounded, and
therefore experiences a “lift” without feeling jittery.

You are welcome into the tea temple from 12.30 -3.30 to drink our teas..come in, grab a book
and enjoy the tea. We also have tea ceremonies available and other events that include tea
drinking.

Life Experiences

“You know, it’s nice to know that there are places like the sanctuary still – not some over manicured and supertidy 5 * resort full of people without anything to say, but a place where you can rest, meet people, enjoy the beautiful nature and the community.I can’t wait to come back.Thank you again for the great experience. Without it, my trip to Thailand would have been incomplete. All the best for the sanctuary and the great people who run it!”
