Craniosacral and Tai chi workshop level I
17th – 22th January 2016
During the workshop we cultivate the art of touch and the awareness of our own bodies, by the use of Tai Chi. We learn to be present for others and ourselves, and with that presence to share Healing, Nurturing Energy, by the use of Craniosacral This seminar will allow the practitioners to tune into their own body/heart sensitivity, soma awareness, cultivate their intuition, and listen to what the other body deeply needs in order to heal.
‘We need to be open enough to provide space for necessary adjustments to occur’.
Our body is the vehicle of our soul. The detailed knowledge of the inner mechanism of our soma brings awareness and thus light to each layer of our entity. In this workshop we go deep in the understanding of the human anatomy and this will move our practice (yoga, therapy, pilates, taichi, massage etc) to a whole new level. Craniosacral is bringing together all the different levels of our existence and puts all into perspective.
During this 5-day workshop -6 hour per day- you get introduced to craniosacral theory, brain anatomy and the awareness of touch, receive and give sessions among the group, practice tai chi and become familiar with different chi kung for cleansing and strengthening inner energy.
By the end, you deepen your understanding in Craniosacral mechanism, healing, learn the art of listening and offer an 1 hour session of a Craniosacral therapy.
Craniosacral is the way to connect with the deepest essence of the body mechanism, which possibly lies in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). It is one of the deepest ways to therapy, using our highest known energy, introduced by Dr. Sutherland, since 1899. Knowing the ‘healthy’ manifestation of life within the organism, the therapist touches the difficulty and assists by following it, learning from it and, when it is appropriate, challenging it. In the 6 days we will become familiar with the awareness of touch and techniques that can be used for a full craniosacral session of one hour.
Certificate of attendance for the level I will be given for full participation.

Facilitator:
Anastasia Xidis, 39, Greek, is Tai Chi teacher and Therapist, specialized in Craniosacral and Thai-Massage.
The importance of the well-being of the mind, body and soul empowered her to shift her life towards healing arts, while working with herself. She is studying and practicing Tai chi chuan, the yang style, since 2004 with Tew Bunnag (a well-known Thai, Tai Chi Master) and Napoleon Xifaras (Tai chi teacher and choreographer in Athens). The way it was transmitted to her involved the development of our natural awareness, a reunion, a return to the center by letting go and slowing down. This practice has been enhanced with the practice of Samata, Vipassana and Metta meditation.
The importance of touch brought her to Chiang Mai, Thailand. There she was introduced to Thai Massage, under the guidance of one of the most respected thai massage healers Master Pichest Boonthumme. She attended and taught tai chi at the ‘Thai-Massage Circus’ for 3 years with exceptional western teachers, as Arno L’ Hermitte, Kaline Alayna Kelly, David Lutt and Gwynn Williams. She also learned Chi Nei Tsang and Oil massage. Through these teachings she deepened her practice by cultivating the 4 qualities of the heart: Unconditional love, compassion, joy and equanimity (Metta, Karuna, Mudita, Uppekha).
Stillness, acceptance, body awareness and deep listening lead her to the healing art of Craniosacral Therapy. Studied at the Milne Institute for 4 years under the direct guidance of Hugh Milne, world-renowned craniosacral teacher, osteopath, and author of the book “The Heart of Listening”. For the last 4 years she completed and assisted Hugh in all 7 levels of trainings, and in personal sessions in Germany and Switzerland.
The interrelation of all the above practices assisted her to cultivate her intuition, deep listening, sense of timing, quality of stillness, and sensitivity, which are among the most important tools for every healer. She has been working as a therapist and teacher internationally for the past 4 years.
