Cosy restaurant tucked under the rocks on the beach. Catering to the yoga crowd. Fresh and healthy dishes in a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff also with our kid. They also offer several bungalows. The beach itself is scenic but the sand pretty coarse and there are rocks in the water for most of the beach which make it a bit hard to enter and swim
During covid and lockdown I often thought about this place, knowing it was closed, and fear that it could close forever or going bankrupt.I’m very happy to see The Sanctuary now open, renew, reborn, even better than it was before. All the staff, the restaurant, bungalows, great food, great vibe, yoga and all that made this place a unique location in the last 30 years or so.Great news: Guy’s bar is now closed, no more party on Friday night/Saturday morning.
This resort is a great place, it offers yoga classes from great teachers, detox’s, different courses, etc. The Restaurant is very confortable and is well known for its delicious vegetarian meals, smoothies, cocktails, …The bungalows and houses are very nice too. A very nice environment with a friendly staff.The beach is quiet, not close to parties and you don’t see any sight of cars or motorcycles whatsoever. Every Thursday there is a Open Mic ! A very chilling place.

We were the first detoxers in 4 months and the santuary did not fail to disappoint. A truly 5 star experience. The staff were friendly, helpful and very knowledgable. The location and facilities were stunning as usual. Thanks for all your care and attention Bow you were fantastic. Danny and Gianni.

This place totally lives up to its name, such a sense of peace and harmony. Quite detached from the rest of the island but with little gems (beaches, bars, boogie dens) all within walking/scrambling distance. Incredible team including Tuna and Sam who really made us feel welcome. It makes me so sad to leave, I know I will be back!

I was reccomended to visit the Sanctuary. Staff are so genuinely friendly and helpful. My room, food and service is Taylor made to suit the guests whether you are there for a Detox, yoga or just a relax like myself. Have to travel by boat takes 15 min and makes it all the more special. Also 15 min walk takes you over the headland to a smaller beautiful beach with drinks and foods for sale . No main shop which is actually a lovelly experience all round . Thankyou
I'll never forget how kind and caring the staff is at The Sanctuary. I still remember Sam & Chard! Hoping to make it back there sooner than later. Great options for vegans & vegetarians. Not to mention the most fabulous healing one can get such as meditation, yoga, water healing & cleansing. Keep up the good work folks!!
Beautiful and breathtaking yoga retreat nuzzled on a remote beach on the island of Koh Phangan. It’s the perfect place to get away and really be in a remote part of nature in the jungle for whatever reason you may need on your journey of personal growth. The accommodation was clean and private, although be prepared to surrender some comforts of a modern hotel. The hike to your room might be a little bit long.Although the hotel is centered around its yoga offerings, it also boasts a restaurant, spa, shop, and coarse coral sand beach. The staff is ready to help for whatever assistance you may need. Just down to the next beach is another cliff top restaurant with a fantastic view of the ocean.Be aware that this is a difficult location to reach. The boat drivers that leave from Haad Rin will wait for a full boat. This is not your typical Uber ride, and you may have to wait or pay more in order to reach the sanctuary. The back road in is incredibly bumpy. Do not book this hotel if you are not prepared to make that journey.The prices felt high, although we did visit around the time of the full moon party, which the whole island revolves around. Keep that in mind when planning your travels.

This place is a joy. The accommodation is great value, the restaurant excellent and has helped me lose weight, gain inner strength over an extended stay. The staff are so happy and kind and the beach is truly unspoiled and off the beaten track but easily accessible. Don't hesitate to come and stay a few days or for a few weeks. Your life will be the better for it!

If you’re seeking the perfect place to either enjoy silence, yoga, detox or also this beautiful nature, I’d recommend coming to The Sanctuary. The bay where it’s settled is magical, no words can describe it. But be aware that it’s a remote place just to be reached by taxi boat or jungle taxi. Greeting to Nolan and all he Sanctuary staff

When your head spins around the same thoughts causing anxiety- you just need a break and re center your focus. Sometimes we need to get away from all of it and the sanctuary is just this place. Far away from everything and only accessible by boat it’s the perfect secluded piece of heaven.If you are looking for a place with a slow pace to recollect yourself, to detox and to be stronger than you have ever been - this is your place. The surrounding just immerses within you and makes you to want to get up early to do yoga and to fuel your body with healthy ingredients.I was also very impressed how they never run out of delicious cold fresh coconut considering that they can only bring groceries by boat.They really do their best to still provide you luxury 5 start treatment while being in the middle of nowhere. Can’t wait to be back 🐒🐒❤️❤️

My spiritual home .. this idylic bay in KonPhangan, its community and the beauty that is the Sanctuary. A perfect place to reset, relax and of course detox if that's your thing. The sanctuary staff are something else, just the best. Treat them with love kindness and respect and you will receive it back x 1000 with a great service. Even when they are super busy they are happy to help you as much as they can.
The restaurant menu is huge and so unique with a range of many healthy and tasty dishes, juices and smoothies plus a great raw selection including raw cakes!
The detox can be an amazing way to cleanse and rid the body of toxins and feel full of energy and its not for you then you can retox with yummy cocktails at the bar. A perfect mix of yin and yang.

I stayed at Sanctuary for 4 weeks when attending a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Swara Yoga Academy. This experience was life-changing and it far exceeded my expectations on all levels! The location/setting of Sanctuary is truly one of a kind and this is as close as it gets to paradise. You will be staying in the jungle, right on the beach, and made to feel like a guest of nature as everything is kind of built in harmony with nature. It is really incredible to stay in such a setting and get to enjoy "simple life". The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you Sam for your daily smiles at breakfast time! There is an incredible community of healers and like-minded people around the bay, it's very easy to talk and meet people. I especially recommend trying acupuncture, and cacao sacred dance ceremony. Make sure you bring plenty of cash to enjoy rituals, consultations, amazing food and hippie shopping, as there is no ATM around. The Wifi connection was a bit slow/unreliable - which I heard some guests complaining about - but to be honest this was no concern for me as I went there mainly to disconnect and I had bought a Thai SIM card from the airport anyway. I miss everyone already and I will be back again soon.

The best time I've had in my life! It's so beautiful, the staff couldn't be nicer and the healing sessions are amazing.
This place really is a sanctuary. I felt instantly at home, the staff are So lovely, the setting is beautiful, the yoga classes are top notch, the food is delicious, the detox program comprehensive and I felt very taken care of, and the bungalows are great... this was my first, but definitely not my last time at this little slice of heaven.

So much fun even in the rain,,with many things to do,,, I'm doing a cleanse at the excellent wellness centre (lost 8kg already this is the only place to go). Peter Clifford ,,, the best & most fun yoga teacher I know,, with Ben & Johnny also great fun,,, open Mic's on Thursday,,, film nights,,, Healing centre-tea temple ,,, with great healers to help the cleanse. & the best Steam room I've ever been in,,, And of course the best restrante & most friendly staff on the island,,, ( maybe I don't think of food ). First class 5 stars +++

Just got back from The Sanctuary. This place was so magical that my heart is bursting with joy when I think about it. The people were friendly, I got to know Min Min and his colleagues who were as great as advertised and I am so thankful for that. The food was delicious, the Bali body scrub that I received was highly appreciated, the atmosphere was pure and relaxing, it made me think about coming back next year with my whole family. I lived with a lizard in my room, got used to it and said even goodbye to it. It is an amazing place with raw and authentic emotions, raw and natural food, wild surroundings and even wilder showers. I felt insecure at times, but at the same time so peaceful. Keep up the good work and always respect the people and the nature around.

The Sanctuary is absolutely gorgeous! A place to rejuvenate, relax and revive. Such a pleasure to stop here while travelling....and with great value dorm beds too.

You have to take a boat from Haad Rin to get there, but it was worth it! I really loved my time there! Remember, that all the prices are not for backpackers.

You have to take a boat from Haad Rin to get there, but it was worth it! I really loved my time there! Remember, that all the prices are not for backpackers.
This place is a joy. The accommodation is great value, the restaurant excellent and has helped me lose weight, gain inner strength over an extended stay. The staff are so happy and kind and the beach is truly unspoiled and off the beaten track but easily accessible. Don't hesitate to come and stay a few days or for a few weeks. Your life will be the better for it!
An amazing place. Really peaceful and unique atmosphere. The place is located on a beautiful beach and wild jungle. All are the stuff are so nice and professional, always smiling and makes you feel at home. The restaurant is very good, delicious and healthy food. Also, they are offering variety of great yoga classes, amazing spa, and all kinds of healing session.The best place in Koh Phangan.
Very nice location. Food is excellent.Remote and calm.A bit on the expensive side for Thailand.But I do recommend.
This place really is a sanctuary. I felt instantly at home, the staff are So lovely, the setting is beautiful, the yoga classes are top notch, the food is delicious, the detox program comprehensive and I felt very taken care of, and the bungalows are great... this was my first, but definitely not my last time at this little slice of heaven.
