TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)

TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is based on the fundamental idea, backed by recent research, that stress, tension, and trauma is both psychological and physical. TRE® is a set of stretches that activates the body’s natural shaking mechanism, releasing muscular tension and calming down the nervous system, bringing us back to a state of balance. TRE® is designed to be a self-care tool that, once learned, can be used as needed throughout one’s life, continuously supporting and promoting personal health and wholeness. TRE®’s muscular vibrations generally feel pleasant and soothing. After doing TRE®, many people report feelings of peace, lightness and wellbeing. Benefits from consistently practicing TRE® include: reduced anxiety and worry, increased energy, greater resilience to stress, increased feelings of calm, balance and joy, reduced muscle and back pain, relief from chronic medical conditions, and reduced symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy integrates traditional yogic concepts and techniques with western medical, spiritual and psychological knowledge. It is a spiritual discipline incorporating the Buddhist principles of mindfulness (Vipassana) and loving kindness (Metta). Through postures, alignment, powerful yogic stretches, breath work and guided meditations, sessions are tailored to your individual needs. Yoga Therapy treats a variety of psychological and somatic dysfunctions, ranging from back problems to emotional distress. Both approaches share an understanding of the human being as an integrated body-mind-soul system, which can function optimally only when there is a state of harmony and balance. The result of a full-body session is often an exciting and powerful mind/body experience, bringing both the recipient and the practitioner to greater states of physical and mental wellbeing.
